Situation
TrustPower is undertaking a business improvement initiative to investigate architectural solutions that will enable it to deliver on its future business requirements, goals and leading practice scenarios. Immediate milestones of the project include delivery of a current state assessment and gap analysis.
Solution
Promapp has been selected as the toolset to define and capture current state processes, future state processes and a gap analysis. Promapp was selected for its ease of use and its ability to present complex processes in a way that's easy to comprehend and ultimately easy to keep up to date.
Central to TrustPower's decision to use the Promapp repository was the recognised failure of previously used approaches where considerable time and investment had been made in capturing processes only to see them fall out of date on the intranet or get lost on the network.
Promapp won out over other evaluated solutions because of its ability to speed up the capture of process information and its ongoing change management functionality. This change management functionality means that future state processes and procedures captured as part of the project will be continue to be utilised and maintained by staff and management during post project business as usual.
